Enhancing Florida Education
We believe local education foundations are essential to enrich and engage students, empower and elevate educators, and connect communities in the common goal of preparing every student for success in life.
We serve as a conduit for national and statewide partners to have a direct impact on innovating learning and providing meaningful support for Florida’s nearly 3 million K-12 students. We advocate for the nation’s only $1 for $1 match for education foundation initiatives through the School District Education Foundation Matching Grant Program.
$88 Million and Counting
In the past 32 years, we have facilitated more than $88 million entrusted to us by a variety of private- and public-sector partners for measurable impact in the classroom and beyond. We regularly convene and connect local education foundation leaders as well as state and national stakeholders to maximize their impact.
We connect partners interested in supporting initiatives on a programmatic or geographic basis through a single investment in a focused, highly accountable way.
Engaging & Enriching Student Experiences
From early learning to readiness for life after high school, Florida’s local education foundations invest more than $100 million annually in students through a variety of core programs: classroom grants, literacy initiatives, hands-on STEM activities, college-and-career-readiness centers, mentoring, and scholarships.
Empowering & Elevating Educators
Nearly half of Florida’s education foundation investments focus on teachers and school staff. “Teacher of the Year” galas allow communities to celebrate top teachers.
Educators can put their creative ideas into action with more than $6 million awarded annually in classroom grants and get essentials for their students and classrooms through free teacher supply stores.
