We Are
What are Local education foundations?
Our members are the 501c3 nonprofit aligned with each of Florida’s county-wide school districts. In the state’s 67 school districts, currently, there are 63 member education foundations.
We represent one recognized education foundation in each county-wide school district. Members collectively represent 99% of Florida’s 3 million K-12 students. Together, members raise more than $100 million annually for a variety of local drive initiatives and hold more than $226 million in assets.
Every Dollar Makes an Impact
Strong education foundations are essential for communities to enhance opportunity and ensure educational success for all students. We facilitate investments in innovation and support on a regional, statewide, or programmatic basis, ensuring meaningful impact for every dollar.
Our Impact
We oversee the nation’s only legislative match for education foundation initiatives known as the School District Education Foundation Matching Grant Program – leveraging millions each year in state-appropriated grant dollars to provide a $1 for $1 match to encourage private-sector investment and involvement for locally driven initiatives.

ConnectED
As the entity most familiar with education issues in Florida and beyond, we have a seat at the table in state and national education conversations. Once a year, we convene all of our stakeholders at the ConnectED conference – bringing critical conversations alive and building partnerships that yield solutions through our network of local education foundations.
