Consortium Announces New Board Leadership

June 30, 2026

The Consortium today announced its 2026-27 Board of Directors, with Rachael Tutwiler Fortune, president of the Jacksonville Public Education Fund, serving as board chair for a two-year term. She will be joined by Vice Chair Chuck Licis-Masson of the Monroe County Education Foundation and Treasurer Meghan Magamoll of the Public Education Foundation of Marion County. The board also includes Kim Jowell, immediate past chair; Aliana Barron; Andrea Messina; Carolyn Krall; Janice Kershaw; Jennifer Vigne; Lindsey Harp; Mike Grego; Stacey Capogrosso; Teresa Rizzo; Thom Jones; and new board member Mark Brewer.

“As vice chair, Rachael worked closely with Kim Jowell to help guide the Consortium through important transitions,” said Amity Schuyler, president and CEO of the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations. “I am grateful to continue working alongside her as board chair as we strengthen our members and the impact they make for students, teachers and schools across Florida.”

Fortune has spent her career bringing educators, families, nonprofits, business leaders and community partners together around student success. As president of the Jacksonville Public Education Fund, she leads work to build community support, connect partners and move strong ideas into action so every child has access to a high-quality public education. Her leadership comes at an important time as local education foundations continue helping communities respond to the needs of students, teachers and schools.

Kim Jowell, CEO of Pinellas Education Foundation, will continue serving on the Board of Directors as immediate past chair after completing her term as chair. During her tenure, she helped guide the Consortium through important governance restructuring, a national CEO search, and a leadership transition. “Kim has led with steadiness and care during a period of significant transition for the Consortium,” said Amity Schuyler, president and CEO of the Consortium. “I am grateful for the perspective she shared as I stepped into this role and for the lasting contributions she has made to our governance and future direction.”

For more than 25 years, the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations has worked alongside local education foundations to support students, teachers and schools across Florida. The Consortium also administers the School District Education Foundation Matching Grant Program, the nation’s only 1-to-1 match for K-12 initiatives led by local education foundations, helping private donations go further in classrooms and communities.
