After 17 years of transformative leadership, Mary Chance is retiring as President and CEO of the Consortium. Since stepping into the role in 2008, she has guided the organization through unprecedented growth, helping shape it into a trusted, apolitical leader in Florida’s K-12 landscape. Under Mary’s leadership, the Consortium expanded its footprint to support students from coast to coast, significantly grew the state’s only 1:1 matching grant program for local education foundation initiatives, and administered more than $80 million in matching funds.
She grew the Consortium’s partners and funding streams, led the development of quality standards for member foundations, and established powerful learning communities that bridge education and workforce development. Mary’s vision, commitment, and collaborative spirit have left a lasting mark on education in Florida. Because of her, more students, teachers, and communities are thriving, and the Consortium is stronger than ever.
