Our recent Spring Conference and Legislative Luncheon in Tallahassee brought together education advocates from across Florida for two days of meaningful connection and action. Attendees engaged with diverse speakers on crucial topics ranging from Giving Campaigns to college scholarships, while local education foundation members met with their state representatives to champion the recurring $7M School District Education Foundation Matching Grant Program and an additional $3M for Resiliency Through the Community. The second day featured an informative data walk on board best practices based on our 2024 Membership Survey, and an enriching workshop with Alyce Lee Stansbury on high-performing boards. Our conference culminated with an extraordinary luncheon on the Capitol’s 22nd floor, where over 140 participants celebrated programs making a difference statewide and witnessed the first ever $100,000 Career Catalyst Grant presentation to Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation.
